#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- Together with municipal presidents, mayors, councilwomen, councilors and municipal public servants from 20 states in the country, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, mayoress of Tecámac, coincided with the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, at the closing of the forum of Women Mayors and Elected Women of Ibero-America «Women in politics for the construction of Peace» whose manifesto synthesizes the collective aspirations and commitments of those who, with a gender vision, promote equality with inclusive, progressive and efficient governments.

Escalante expressed her gratitude for the invitation from the Government of Mexico City, the Mayor’s Office of Bogota, the Diputació de Barcelona and the Municipality of Montevideo.

Thanks to my colleagues from the Aalmac Association of Local Authorities of Mexico for their efforts to support with their presence this fundamental cause: that there be more women in decision-making, she concluded.
